FYI - There are several types of Non-Profit organizations. In order to get the complete deduction allowable to business contributions a Company must have a Non-Profit filing status of 501(c)(3). The Minute Man Dart League is a Non-Profit with the filing code 501(c)(7). The Minute Man Dart League is not a charitable entity therefore we cannot deliver on this type of "Tax Break" style contribution. 8-)

Harpoon, too Rob. They seem that they may be more tuned in to "us".... I know they host a number of events over the course of the year. I think maybe one soon for Oktoberfest.

Which beer company was it that did those darts oriented radio ads? They went so far as to talk about out strategy and they even had it correct (I think it was shooting S17 with 25 left). But since I don't remember the beer, maybe those ads weren't that effective...

I'm in radio and I play darts. How could I not have heard those ads?

After the sale of Bud to a foreign interest it maybe it would be a good time to contact them as a sponsor. A lot of people are not happy with the sale of a popular US beer to "outsiders" and this could be an opportunity for them to show their loyalty to the many consumers we have. Just a thought.

Interesting thing happened to my team this season in regards to Budweiser. They came to our club and replaced both dart board back boards and the light above our pool table. It was on a Monday and we came in Tuesday night to find our boards almost a foot lower than they should have been. Guess they didn't know how to hang it. Glad I had the proper measurements and my chain to double check after we hung them again. But I was surprised they came and did that. Too bad they can't do that for all league boards since they do for some private clubs.

A few years ago did'nt MMDL have one? Archer Ale or something of the sort? Or was I drinking it while playing darts?

They had Sherwood Forrest Ale or something like that, and Barstool Sports for a while too. Sponsorships are empty wells these days.
